Every summer needs a good road trip and since my last one to San Fran i've got the road trip bug real bad. So this summer I went a little ways past SF and ended up in Portland, Oregon. I made the journey with my friend Sean on his way back home from school.
Filled with good convos, lots of music sing along time, and views such as the one below the 18 hours on the road went by surprisingly quickly
Once we got the Portland I got the grand downtown tour from Sean and Elise.
Portland definitely stole my heart in its own unique quirky way from it's simple roadside reminders
to the fact that it actually has efficient and free public transportation
to it's resident's creative ways of transporting children
and it's random kind of creepy statues in the middle of the sidewalk
Thanks Elise and Sean for giving me a sweet taste of your city!
P.S. cutest coffee shop ever that Elise took me to with amazing lattes...check it.
After Portland came none other than Track Town USA.
Eugene captivated me. The fact that the entire city is named after my favorite sport gives it a one up in my heart. Combine that with its natural beauty/GREEN-ness and the great people that live there and you get a pretty awesome place.
I got to see friends from back in the day
and friends from college
and did I already mention it was absolutely gorgeous???
Overall Oregon treated me reeeeeal well, I didn't want to leave, but here I am back in Santa Barbara. Thanks to my wonderful friends, Sean, Elise, Natty, Blake, Lynds, and Cara for a wonderful trip, you guys are very loved.
I love your photos! This looks like so much fun!
